Over the top of the hills

Endless rolling hills dotted with hundred-year-old cypress trees distinguish Val D’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape that inspired Renaissance masters to paint. The best views of Val D’Orcia are from the medieval hamlets of Montepulciano and Cortona. These small hilltop towns also have their own heritage of artisan crafts, cheesemaking and wine production. This tour can be combined with a visit to Pienza, famous for its pecorino cheese production and Renaissance masterpieces.
